Milan is served by three main airports: Malpensa, Linate and Orio al Serio. Anyway, all of them offer easy ways to get to Milan.
Malpensa (MXP)
Malpensa is the main international airport, located about 50 km northwest of the city. The airport is connected to Milano Cadorna Station and Milano Centrale Station via the Malpensa Express train, which takes you to the city center in 40 minutes. The train runs every 30 minutes.

- From Malpensa (MXP) to Milano Centrale: departures at 13 and 43 minutes past each hour, from 5:43 AM to 10:43 PM
- From Milano Centrale to Malpensa (MXP): departures at 25 and 55 minutes past each hour, from 5:25 AM to 11:25 PM. The train arrives and departs from platform 3.

- From Malpensa (MXP) to Milano Cadorna: departures at 26 and 56 minutes past each hour, from 5:56 AM to 12:26 AM
- From Milano Cadorna to Malpensa (MXP): departures at 27 and 57 minutes past each hour, from 4:57 AM to 11:27 PM. The train arrives and departs from platform 1.
ATTENTION
Milano P.ta Garibaldi station is a stop on the Malpensa – Milano Centrale. If you need to get there, take the Malpensa Express bound for Milano Centrale and get off at the stop before the final Milano Centrale terminus.
Note that from Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 to Garibaldi the first train is at 5:43 AM, the last train at 10:43 PM, while from Milano Porta Garibaldi the first train is at 5:35 AM, the last train at 10:35 PM.
In case of railway strikes on the Milan – Malpensa route, trains are replaced by buses. In fact, you can catch them from Via Paleocapa 1, at the corner of Milano Cadorna station, to Malpensa Terminal 1. Unfortunately, buses make no intermediate stops.

An alternative to Malpensa Express
Makpensa express is the best airport transfer to geto to Milan. However, a valid alternative is the Malpensa Shuttle buses that depart from Piazza Luigi di Savoia, in front of Central Station.

Linate (LIN)
Linate is just 7 km east of the center, handles most domestic flights and some European ones. It is conveniently connected to Milan city center via the new M4 metro line (Blue Line), operating daily from 5:40 AM to 12:30 AM. This metroline is just the best: in fact, in just 12 minutes you reach San Babila, in the heart of the city.
Alternatively, you can take ATM bus n.73. It departs approximately every 15 minutes and arrives at Piazza San Babila (stop at the corner with Corso Europa).
Orio al Serio (BGY)
Orio al Serio, near Bergamo, is increasingly used by low-cost airlines. However, the Orio Transfer service directly connects the airport with Milano Centrale Station. The line has no intermediate stops.
