🚲 Bike Sharing in Milan

Milan’s bike sharing system comes in two versions:

• BikeMi (station-based): You’ll find docking stations all over the city. BikeMi offers traditional bikes, e-bikes, and even bikes with child seats. Just download the app, register, pick up a bike at the nearest station, and pay at the end of your ride.
  • Daily pass: €4.50, valid for 24 hours (max 2 hours per ride).
  • Weekly pass: €9, valid for 7 days (max 2 hours per ride).
  • Opening hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 AM.
• Free-floating bikes: With operators like Dott, Lime, and RideMovi, you can grab a bike anywhere and leave it within the permitted areas. These are available 24/7.

🛴 E-Scooter Sharing

E-scooters are everywhere in Milan, and they’re perfect for short trips or zipping through the city center. Companies like Bird, Dott, and Lime operate here.

• Unlock them by scanning the QR code with the app.
• Maximum speed: 20 km/h (reduced to 6 km/h in pedestrian areas).
• Payment and drop-off are all managed directly in the app.

🚗 Car Sharing in Milan

Milan is actually the Italian city with the largest car sharing network. You’ll find both station-based and free-floating options. The main operators are Drivalia, Enjoy, Free2move, and Zity.

• Sign up via app or website with your driving license and payment method.
• Cars can access restricted traffic zones (ZTL) and park for free on blue and yellow lines.
• Access to Area C (the central congestion charge zone) is included.

🛵 Scooter Sharing

If you’d like something faster but still eco-friendly, try electric scooter sharing. Services like eCooltra and Pikyrent let you book a scooter via app, ride with a friend (two helmets are included in the top case), and drop it off anywhere within the operating area.
